Meet our outstanding Appaloosa geldings, the true workhorses of the ranch. These boys are prepared for any challenge, whether it's managing ranch duties, excelling in the show pen, or proudly displaying flags at rodeos - sometimes all in the same day! With their quiet nature, dependability, athleticism, and versatility, our geldings truly represent the essence of hard work and commitment. They are all sons of Straws Mighty Magnum.

Ruger was an exciting addition! From day one it was obvious he would be a great one. We were originally hoping to make him a junior stallion prospect to Magnum, but life plans weren't quite ready. Instead he became Kristine's main show horse that the kids loved to show. At just 2 years old he became a favorite leadline mount and in the following years a favorite walk/trot mount. Unfortunately, at a young age he started having head shaking issues that was later linked to a few possibilities including Lyme's disease. Ruger has now been retired on the ranch and does an excellent job keeping everyone out on pasture in line.

If you have ever been to the ranch or seen us at a horse event, there is a good chance you've met Johnnie. Johnnie is athletic with an outstanding disposition and a deep love for Abby. He does anything she asks of him and gives 110%. He has shown in about every ApHC event he can, done all around in 4-H with her (including being the 2024 North Dakota 4-H High Point Senior Rider), he runs flags at rodeos for her queen events without batting an eye, and will work all day on the ranch. He is the most decorated Magnum baby in the show arena. He completed both his Open and Youth Supreme ApHC Supreme with Abby in 2023. That is a huge accomplishment for anyone, but especially for a youth rider with a home raised, home trained horse. Everyone that meets Johnnie loves him. He is a great ride for anyone of any level and just a great guy to have around.

Straws Mighty Magnum x My Pride Asset (Appendix)
Archer is a pretty bay with a slight sprinkling of black and white spots over his hips. He was born with an inquisitive and forward nature and loves to be the center of attention - many times to the annoyance of his pasture mates. Archer falls in the middle of the 5 Magnum x Sadie babies, so kind of ended up falling through the cracks. He was in the show pen a handful of times and was lightly started fall of 2024. He is just as talented as the rest and is athletic and loves to keep his brain busy and thinking. If you don't give him something to do, he will find something. We are thinking he will be a super cute ranch prospect, and be able to hold his own in games or cattle events. We are hoping to get him going more in 2025 on the ranch and in the show ring, but there is always that darn time factor. Offered For Sale
